As someone who just removed a FWD GM transmission out of a straight six Volvo with two turbos and two transfer cases...I know that feel.

The GM techs, the Haynes manual, etc. say it has to be removed. Clearly it doesn’t, but a LOT of stuff has to be removed to get to this point. This thing makes the timing belt/water pump on a 944 look like an oil change.

Oh I don’t doubt a lot of crap has to be removed, but I just don’t see it being worth that extra effort.
